Gordons Advises On New Free Online Covid-19 Remote Monitoring Platform
Wednesday 29th April 2020
Gordons has advised on a new digital platform which allows people in the UK to self-monitor for symptoms and signs of Covid-19 whilst adhering to social distancing measures.
Created by Manchester-based bio-clinical remote monitoring specialist NEPeSMO, the RemoteCovid platform enables anyone to monitor their wellbeing from home during self-isolation and share progress reports about their health securely with their doctor or carer.
Thanks to advice provided by Gordons solicitor and technology expert Ryan Gracey, RemoteCovid is fully compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ensures personal data is only gathered and shared in a secure manner.
The RemoteCovid website, which is accessible via any desktop or mobile-based internet browser, is free to use and also gives concerned individuals access to the latest Covid-19 information from the NHS and World Health Organisation (WHO) within the same, easy-to-access platform.
Benefits of RemoteCovid extend to healthcare providers, who can access patient progress reports, assess those with developing Covid-19 symptoms and promptly identify those who may need to either be tested or have their level of care escalated.
Monica Spiteri, co-founder and CEO of NEPeSMO Ltd said: “The fast, practical and accurate advice we received from Ryan and the team at Gordons was key to the speed at which we were able to launch RemoteCovid. They got to grips with the platform remarkably quickly and made sure security of users data is protected at all times.”

Gordons’ Ryan Gracey added: “RemoteCovid has the potential to act as a vital link between individuals carrying the symptoms of Covid-19 and their medical practitioner.
“By working with Monica and her team of developers, we were able to ensure its terms of use, privacy policy and cookies policy facilitate the secure collection and sharing of personal data, which is hugely important given the nature of the service.
“It is now available for the benefit of everyone in the UK and the medical profession, and will contribute directly to the collective fight against the virus.”
