Tuesday 5th October 2021
Gordons has advised luxury books specialist Kingsbury Press on its acquisition by Rotherham-headquartered Bluetree Group, the parent company of Route 1 Print, instaprint and Bluetree Medical.
Corporate partner Jonathan Asquez worked on the deal with corporate solicitors Amy Pierechod and Matt Watson, employment solicitor Catherine Pugh and commercial property solicitor Erica Jones. Trainee solicitor Daniel Barraclough also supported on the transaction.
Bluetree Group will take over Kingsbury Press’s 60,000 sq ft site in Doncaster and retain the existing team to continue driving its luxury books and publishing work.
The Doncaster site comes with high tech equipment capable of producing luxury brochures and booklets for a selection of high-end clients across the UK and the US.
Bluetree Group intends to use the deal to bolster its existing product range across its Route 1 Print and instantprint brands. The company has long term plans to expand its existing booklet options and add new finishing types not currently available within the existing range.
Gordons Jonathan Asquez, said: “We are pleased to have supported the shareholders of Kingsbury Press and look forward to seeing the business go from strength-to-strength in the next stage of its journey.”
The acquisition brings Bluetree Group close to a 700 strong team across their print & medical divisions.
