Gordons appoints head of restructuring
Wednesday 1st December 2021
An experienced solicitor specialising in corporate restructuring and insolvency has joined Gordons as its head of restructuring.
Jonathan Jackson, who was previously at law firm Addleshaw Goddard, has significant experience representing corporates, financial institutions, private equity firms and other stakeholders on all aspects of corporate restructuring and insolvency process.
At Gordons, Jonathan will support clients with corporate restructuring, distressed property transactions and corporate insolvency issues, including administrations, receiverships and liquidations.
Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan said: “Gordons has a strong reputation in the marketplace as a progressive and agile law firm. Importantly for me, Gordons is also renowned for its long-term relationships and excellent client service as much as it is for the commercially-focused results it delivers.
“Many businesses have faced significant challenges over the last 18 months, and Gordons has expertly been helping clients navigate this turbulent period.
“I am now working closely with colleagues across the firm to provide additional corporate restructuring and insolvency support and advice, if needed.”
Gordons’ corporate team recently won the corporate and commercial category at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2021 and acts for clients such as JCT600, Enact, BGF, Pavers, Severfield, JMG Group and DM Keith.
Welcoming Jonathan to the firm, Gordons corporate partner, James Fawcett, said: “Jonathan has excellent restructuring and insolvency experience and a strong network of contacts. This makes him ideally placed to expand on the outstanding work we are already doing.”
Gordons executive board member and partner, Victoria Davey, added: “Jonathan combines his expertise with an approachable and personable manner, which makes him an ideal fit for both our culture and our clients.
“He brings further knowledge and additional capability to our highly regarded and extremely active corporate specialism.”
