Gordons Hired by Housebuilder Honey for Residential Conveyancing

Sheffield-based housebuilder Honey has appointed Gordons to handle the residential conveyancing on its first development, a 50-home scheme in South Normanton, Derbyshire.
Called Amber, the development has a gross development value of £14m and will comprise a mix of new two-, three- and four-bedroom homes with prices starting from £184,950 for a two-bedroom mid-terrace.
Work has already started on site and the first residents are expected to move into their new homes next March.
A team from Gordons led by partner and head of residential development, Mike Finnett, will handle the conveyancing on all homes at Amber.
Honey was founded by former Avant Homes chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell, in October last year. The company is backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV which has £937m of fully committed capital.

Honey has recently submitted plans and exchanged contracts to deliver a £20.35m, 75-new home development called Hazel in Matlock, Derbyshire. The housebuilder is also awaiting a decision on its plans for a £23.5m, 95-new home development on Barnburgh Lane, Barnsley, called Iris.
