Flexible working requests – The tribunal rules on employer’s denial of request to work from home entirely
An employment tribunal have recently ruled on an employer’s rejection of a flexible working request. In Wilson v Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), judgment was given on the FCA’s reason to deny the request and failure to deal with the request within the time limit.
Settlement agreements – Court of Session rules that settlement agreements can be used to settle future claims
The Inner House of the Court of Session has ruled that it is possible for a settlement agreement to waive unknown future statutory employment rights claims.
Fire and rehire – Government response to consultation on the draft statutory Code of Practice on Dismissal and Re-engagement
The Government has released an updated draft Code of Practice on Dismissal and Re-engagement, along with an explanatory memorandum.
