Are you a good apprentice?

The government is consulting on proposals to protect against the misuse of the terms ‘apprentice’ and ‘apprenticeships’ after concerns the terms are too often used by unauthorised trainers for low quality courses. Obviously, that will include training provided by Sith Lords but apparently others also abuse the terms.

Standards have been set to try to ensure that, through apprenticeships, young people have real prospects of employment and the aim is to keep an apprenticeship as reference to a good quality course.

The government plans to introduce the changes in autumn 2015 as part of its Enterprise Bill.
