When should physical contact constitute gross misconduct? And,
- A useful fact sheet detailing the statutory payments for this year (and last for comparison).
What should employers do to support neurodivergent employees?
Neurodiversity Celebration Week, which took place recently, is an initiative designed to tackle stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding neurodevelopmental disorders and learning disabilities and presents employers with the opportunity to contemplate strategies for fostering a more inclusive work environment.
By accommodating the needs of neurodivergent employees, businesses can enhance inclusivity and support diversity within their workforce.
When should physical contact constitute gross misconduct?
In the recent case of Hewston v Ofsted, the Court of Appeal upheld the Employment Appeal’s Tribunal’s decision that dismissing an Ofsted inspector for brushing water off a child was unfair.
Changes to the statutory rates of pay – is your business ready?
Effective 06 April 2025, there will be increases to the statutory rates applicable to certain awards by employment tribunals, as well as to other statutory sums payable under employment legislation. Additionally, Presidential Guidance has directed increases to the “Vento bands” which govern compensation for injury to feelings in discrimination and detriment cases.
Our team has prepared a comprehensive factsheet outlining these changes.
