Gordons advises angel investment network, Lifted Ventures on funding for adventure sports start-up, Adventuro

Gordons has advised angel investment network, Lifted Ventures, a start-up investment network aimed at supporting female founders on its investment in adventure sports start-up, Adventuro.
Founded in 2023, London-based Adventuro is an online marketplace platform for adventure sports enthusiasts to discover and book activities, trips and equipment rentals. These range from skydiving and scuba diving to rock climbing and white-water rafting.
The strategic partnership with Lifted Ventures will help Adventuro to expand its offerings, enhance its technological infrastructure and reach new markets.
Kate Hawker, co-founder and COO of Adventuro, said: “The adventure sports industry is a very exciting space, and Adventuro is poised to be a real game-changer.
“We are thrilled to have closed a successful funding round with the support of Lifted Ventures. As a mixed founding team, we are delighted that working with Lifted Ventures on this raise has helped us to build a group of shareholders of which 42 per cent are female – something quite rare in both the funding ecosystem, and the adventure sports industry.”
Gordons lawyer, Stephanie Houghton, advised the network of angel investors throughout the funding process.
The firm was appointed to advise the network’s investors and provide guidance to start-ups throughout the funding process, including early stage, growth and exit.
Lifted Ventures was founded in 2023 by Helen Oldham and Jordan Dargue, who were joint leaders of the NorthInvest angel network and co-founders of both Fund Her North and Women Angels of the North.
The network has created a diverse investment community passionate about supporting female founders through capital, expertise and mentorship.
