Gordons Advises JCT600 on Acquisition of VW Van Retailer

Gordons has advised longstanding client JCT600 with acquiring a retailer of Volkswagen vans with dealerships in Cleckheaton and Leeds.
Expanding operations
Volkswagen Van Centre West Yorkshire is set to complement JCT600’s existing Volkswagen van retail outlets in York, Hull and Sheffield, along with its van servicing centre in Leeds.
As part of the deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, Bradford-headquartered JCT600 has acquired the business from founder Andrew Caygill.
With its head office in Cleckheaton, Volkswagen Van Centre West Yorkshire was established in 1979 and has grown to a 50-strong team who will all join the JCT600 family. The business will continue to trade under its existing name.

The Gordons team was led by corporate partner James Fawcett and commercial property partner Nick Chamberlain. The team also included Andrew Moore, Matt Watson, Lauren Wurzal, Emily Egan, Dan Western and Catherine Pugh.

JCT600 has 50 dealerships from Yorkshire and the North East to Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. The group represents 25 car marques and has a team of 2,300 colleagues.
