Intervention into Legal UK Services Limited
On 26 June 2024 the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’) intervened into the practice of Legal UK Services Ltd (‘Legal UK’) of Lynnfield House, Church Street, Altrincham, WA14 4DZ. We are helping the SRA with this.
What does this mean?
If you were a client of Legal UK, they can no longer act for you. If you have not already done so you may need to find a new lawyer to act. Gordons are not acting for you. If you need help finding a new solicitor you can search for a new solicitor on the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor site, or you can call the Law Society on 020 7320 5650 Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

My file has been transferred to a new firm. What should I do?
We are aware that files for clients with an ongoing claim have been transferred to Cheval Legal or DGM Legal. If your file is being dealt with by Cheval Legal or DGM Legal you should contact them.
What has happened to Legal UK?
On 11 March 2024 Legal UK was the subject of a Winding up Order. The SRA’s intervention into the practice of Legal UK is separate to that Winding up Order. How do I get my file?
We are not yet in possession of any client files previously held by Legal UK. If Legal UK was acting for you in an ongoing matter and your file is recovered, we will write to you.
Legal UK were holding money for me. What should I do?
If you believe Legal UK was holding money for you may be able to apply to the SRA Compensation Fund. As it is a discretionary fund, applications are considered using the criteria set out in the rules.
