Intervention into Seth Law Limited

On 14 June 2024 the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’) intervened into the practice of Seth Law Limited of 2 Atlas House, St. Georges Square, Bolton, Lancashire, BL1 2HB. (‘Seth Law’). Seth Law was also known as Secret Commission Lawyers.

What does this mean?

If you were a client of Seth Law, they can no longer act for you. You will need to find a new lawyer to act. Gordons are not acting for you. If you  need help finding a new solicitor you can search for a new solicitor on the Law Society’s Find a Solicitor site, or you can call the Law Society on 020 7320 5650 Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

What has happened to Seth Law?

On 24 April 2024 Seth Law Limited was the subject of a Winding up Order. How do I get my file?

We are not yet in possession of any client files previously held by Seth Law Limited. If Seth Law was acting for you in an ongoing matter and your file is recovered, the SRA will write to tell you and ask where you want your file to be sent.

Seth Law were holding money for me. What should I do?

If you believe Seth Law was holding money for you may be able to apply to the SRA Compensation Fund. As it is a discretionary fund, applications are considered using the criteria set out in the rules.
