The Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023

This Act requires employers to pass on any tips, gratuities, or service charges to workers and to establish a fair allocation policy.

Employers must maintain records detailing how tips are distributed, and workers will have the right to access these records. If tips are unfairly allocated, both workers and agency workers will have the ability to bring a claim to tribunal.
